Gorgeous Victoria Trails

Galloping Goose
This picturesque multi-use trail, formerly a railway line, moves through urban, rural and wilderness scenery on its 55 kilometer journey from Victoria to Sooke. You can cycle, stroll, run, or even ride a horse through the rural sections. – See more at: https://www.crd.bc.ca/parks-recreation-culture/parks-trails/find-park-trail/galloping-goose#sthash.g4ulemDz.dpuf

Thetis Lake
Go for a hike on the scenic trails hugging Upper and Lower Thetis lakes. For panoramic views of the lakes and surrounding hills, follow the more challenging trails up Seymour or Scafe hills. In spring, wildflowers dot the hillsides. Please help us protect this sensitive habitat by staying on designated trails and keeping pets on the trail. – See more at: https://www.crd.bc.ca/parks-recreation-culture/parks-trails/find-park-trail/thetis-lake#sthash.3I8NS3mX.dpuf

Goldstream Provincial Park
It’s a world that seems far removed from the urban adventures of BC’s capital city whether you’re a hiker seeking inspiration from this magnificent example of the great outdoors or a naturalist looking to add to their notebook. There’s something new, different and exciting every month of the year at Goldstream Park. Trails range from easy, wheelchair accessible walks to strenuous hikes and track along creeks, through forested uplands and past abandoned gold diggings from the days of the Gold Rush. – See more at: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/goldstream/

Elk / Beaver Lake
The trail that loops around Elk / Beaver Lake is a popular route for those looking for a longer 10km walk or jog. The terrain is relatively flat and following the trails that are next to the lakes make it easy to follow and provide several scenic views of the regional park area. – See more at: https://www.crd.bc.ca/parks-recreation-culture/parks-trails/find-park-trail/elk-beaver-lake
