Blooming Victoria – 44th Annual Flower Count!
February showers bring March flowers! At least here in wonderful Victoria, our annual flower count begins March 6th and ends March 13th, 2019. Last year, the 43rd annual count, there were a total of 3,467,394,781 flowers counted in Greater Victoria!
Fun fact! In the late 1960’s, members of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce started a promotion called “Victorian Days”. In late February, they would visit cities such as Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg, handing out daffodils to the general public, radio stations and news rooms.
